This morning at about nine something or maybe ten, I cannot really remember the exact time, anyway it was in the morning, I was walking down the street around Erxianqiao in Chengdu when I saw this dog, his whole body really is covered in skin disease, so much of his fur has fallen out, he is so thin there is nothing but bone left, I gave him some food and he ate it so fast so fast, he must have been starving for a very very long time, he kept his head down the whole time, he had no strength to walk, it really really broke my heart to look at him, and right then I felt I had to help him.
Then I contacted the clinic, and the clinic said this dog is in fairly serious condition, he needs treatment for the skin disease and deworming as well, and blood tests as well, and a lot of other tests, in short it is going to cost quite a bit of money, the clinic gave a rough first estimate of somewhere over two thousand yuan, possibly more than that, I cannot say exactly, it depends how the treatment goes from here, either way it definitely will not be cheap, I really cannot carry this cost on my own, which is why I am posting this, I hope everyone can help out.
Let me go into more detail about the dog, he is an adult mixed breed, medium to slightly large build, roughly sixty or seventy percent of his fur has fallen out, there are a lot of scabbed patches on his skin, on his face on his legs on his body, it looks like a mite-caused skin disease, what people usually call sarcoptic mange, the whole dog is extremely thin, I would guess he only weighs about six or seven kilos, a dog of this build should normally be over ten kilos, so he is very very underweight, his spirits are low too, his head is always drooping, his tail is tucked in, he limps when he walks, I do not know whether something is wrong with his paw as well.
One more thing, this dog is still in the same spot, I have no way to take him with me, because I already have a cat at home and cannot take in a dog as well, and I am also not sure whether he has anything contagious, so I did not dare bring him straight home, but he really does need help, he really does need to get to a clinic.
Let me give the clinic details as well, the clinic is called Sichuan Aixin Pet Hospital, it does have a business licence, the licence number is SC-VH-23104, the clinic is about two or three kilometres from where I am now, not too far, the vet is called Dr Wang, quite a professional vet, a friend of mine took a dog to this clinic before and said it was fine, the treatment cost as I said is around two thousand something, specifically the skin disease treatment is about one thousand eight hundred, then the blood work and the other tests come to about four hundred, and then there is the boarding fee, because the dog needs somewhere to stay during treatment, that is about two hundred, which adds up to roughly two thousand four hundred.
